Coach Hogan is a 1998 graduate of Leeds High School where he was an All-State offensive linemen and team captain for head coach, Tim Sanders. After high school he attended Jacksonville State University where he was a four-year letterman for the Gamecocks and received a BA in English with a minor in history. He later obtained his Master’s in education from the University of West Alabama.  Coach Hogan is in his 16th year in education where he has taught English and physical education. His roles on the gridiron in high school have ranged from position coach to head coach. He has helped mentor dozens of college athletes, 6 professional athletes, and an alternate on the 2021 US Olympic Track and Field Team. He is married to the former Chrystal McClendon of Jasper, Alabama and they have two daughters, Casyn (14) and Cassandra (6).

Coach Garrett Sanders is a graduate of St. Clair County High School where he played football and baseball.  He earned his college degree from Jacksonville State University.  He coached at St. Clair County and Jacksonville State University as a Student Assistant and was a volunteer coach at Clay-Chalkville High School when they won the 6A AHSAA State Championship in 2021. This will be Coach Sander’s second year at Etowah High School where he teaches History.  Coach Sander’s coaches Defensive Backs for the Blue Devils Football team. In addition to football, he also coaches Jr. High Baseball.

Coach John Slivka is a 2017 graduate of Albertville High School. After high school, he attended Birmingham Southern College where he majored in mathematics and played football all four years. He teaches 7th and 8th grade math at Etowah Middle School. This is Coach Slivka’s second year on the varsity football staff where coaches the offensive line. In addition to football, he also coaches Soccer.

Coach Deondre Woody is a 2014 graduate of Springville High School. He attended Campbellsville University on scholarship to play football. He then transferred to UAB where he would also play football and later coach while studying Kinesiology with a concentration of Fitness Leadership. Coach Woody served as assistant coach working with the linebackers at UAB from 2016-2018.  After leaving UAB he became a part of the Springville High School coaching staff for four years. He spent the spring of 2022 at Crossville as the Defensive Coordinator. Coach Woody teaches Physical Education at Etowah Middle School.  This is his second year on the varsity football staff where coaches the coaching defensive line. In addition to football, he also coaches Soccer.
 

Coach Randy Dupree is a graduate of Etowah High School, where he was 5A All State Back of the Year, a three-time Region Champion, and he eventually went on to play football at Cumberland University. He is entering his eleventh-year coaching and third year coaching for the Blue Devils. Coach Dupree earned his Network Administration degree from Gadsden State and works in the technology department as the Network Administrator for Attalla City Schools. Coach Dupree is married to Macy and they have a daughter, Taitlei Jace (1). 
 

Coach Skylar Ray is entering his thirteenth-year coaching football. He has spent the last six years coaching football and teaching Agri-Science at Etowah High School. Coach graduated from Cherokee County High School where he played football and basketball.  He spent his collegiate experience playing football at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Jacksonville State University where he was quarterback. He graduated from JSU with a degree in Physical Education.
 
Coach Ray is married to his wife, Jennifer, and they are the proud parents of their children Libby, and Ryan.  Coach Ray enjoys duck hunting, fishing, and his landscaping business.
 

Coach Brandon Booker is a defensive line coach entering his sixteenth season of coaching football. He is a graduate of Etowah High School where he was Defensive Lineman of the Year in 2002 and 2003, Team Captain and Team MVP in 2004. Coach Booker was named 5A Defensive Lineman of the Year finalist by the Alabama Sports Writers Association as well as First Team All-State and First Team All-Area. He was voted into the Gadsden Times Dirty Dozen and Player of the Week.
 
Coach Booker is currently employed with Gadsden Water Works. He has been married to his middle school sweetheart Lana White Booker for 13 years. She is also a graduate of Etowah High School. Their life motto is “Faith, Family, Football” and it defines everything they do. GO BIG BLUE!!!
